Terms of Use
Last updated : 30 June 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Keepeat app (the “service”). By using the app, you accept these Terms in full.
Purpose of the service
Keepeat is an iOS recipe-management app that lets you create, organise (tags), plan meals, import recipes from external URLs, and follow recipes in cooking mode. The service is currently in beta and may change.
Free service
The Keepeat service is entirely free. All app features are accessible at no cost.
Technical limits may apply (for example: a monthly cap on automated imports) to maintain quality and availability for all users.
Account and access
Access requires a valid email address. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent by email or Sign in with Apple, with no password. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your inbox and for activity carried out from your account.
Minimum age
Use of the service is reserved for persons aged 16 or over. If you are under 16, you must obtain the consent of your parent or legal guardian before using the service.
Acceptable use
You agree to:
- not use the service for unlawful purposes or in breach of these Terms;
- not attempt to disrupt, bypass or compromise the security of the service;
- not publish content that infringes the rights of others (intellectual property, image rights, privacy);
- not use the service to distribute hateful, discriminatory or illegal content.
We may suspend or terminate access in case of breach of these rules.
Your content
You keep ownership of the recipes and content you create in the app. You grant us only the technical rights needed to host, display and back up that content within the service, for your own use.
When importing a recipe from an external source, you are responsible for complying with the copyright and terms of use of that source.
AI enrichment
Some import features use artificial intelligence to automatically enrich imported recipes (ingredient structuring, nutrition information). Recipe text is sent to our AI provider for this purpose. See our privacy policy for details of this processing.
Import from Instagram
The Instagram import feature uses Meta’s oEmbed API to retrieve the public metadata of a post. You are responsible for complying with Instagram’s terms of use when importing third-party content.
Availability and beta
The service is provided “as is” during the beta phase. Interruptions, changes or data loss may occur. We strive to maintain continuity of service without being able to guarantee it.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Keepeat shall not be liable for indirect damages resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the service, data loss due to technical failure, or content provided by third parties.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from the app (one-time code confirmation required). Your data will then be deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the competent French courts, subject to the legal provisions applicable to consumers.
Changes
These Terms may be updated. Any significant change will be communicated in the app or on this page.
